Mahomet-Seymour’s Blake Wolters continues to show his talent as the Bulldogs ride a winning record coming into the second half of the 2022 season.
Fourteen games into the season, the Purdue University recruit leads Mahomet-Seymour with a .548 batting average, 1.129 slugging percentage accompanied by 2 home runs on the season.
Wolters has also shined at the plate with a .31 earned run average in five games.
Recently, the 6’4” junior, has driven in 11 runs in wins over Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley and Effingham. Prior to Thursday night’s contest against St. Thomas More, Wolters produced six consecutive multi-hit games, going 18-for-25 in that span and driving in 21 runs. Twelve of those hits were for extra bases.
