10 Question Friday: Zainab Susi

  1. If you could change one thing about the last year what would you change? 

               I would start meditating earlier in the year, watch less political news and be more present.  

  1. Is there anything new you tried last year? How was your experience? 

              Yes. I started writing for Mahomet Daily. I love it and am still enjoying it. 

  1. How many languages do you speak? Would you learn another language if you had the chance? Which one? 

              I speak Urdu and English. Yes, I would love to learn Spanish. 

  1. What do you do in your free time? 

    I go on walks, cook and watch tv.  

  1. If you can go back and change one thing about yourself/ life what would that be? 

              I would play badminton professionally and become a counselor.  

  1. What’s your favorite movie/tv show/book? 

               My all time favorite movie is the Lion King and my favorite book is the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle 

  1. Have you been to any countries outside of the United States? If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

            For the first 18 years of my life I lived in Karachi, Pakistan. I have traveled to Canada, Germany, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Scotland and England. 

  1. How important is your culture to you? 

   I was eighteen years old when I moved to the USA. I got to know both Pakistani and American culture. I don’t live according to one culture but choose what I agree with and like about both that best suits me. 

  1. To you, what is the meaning of life? 

   I wish I had an answer. I am still trying to figure it out. 

  1. Have you done any kind of dangerous sports or adrenaline pumping activities? What was it? 

          I learned how to drive a car. Early in my thirties I went skydiving and learned Martial Arts. I have a black belt in Taekwondo. I enjoyed both experiences.
