Zach Courson shot a 36 and won medalist honors on Monday (Aug. 23) for the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team in a dual meet at Woodlawn Country Club, in Farmer City.
The unbeaten Bulldogs topped Blue Ridge, 161-208, in the nine-hole match.
M-S had the five lowest scores in the varsity portion of the meet.
Following Courson were Erik Christianson (39), Reis Claybrooke (41), Brian Coyne (45) and Jaedon Lager (47). The other M-S participant, Carter Selk, shot a 48.
In the junior varsity division, M-S’ Brogan Henessy shot a team-best 42. John Schlenker carded a 44 while Blake Harvey and Jacob Schoudel each registered 46s.
M-S (2-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 26) at Tuscola.
