Ava Yeakel scored in double figures for the second consecutive game on Thursday (April 1) as the Mahomet-Seymour seventh-grade girls’ basketball team hung on to edge Mount Zion, 21-20, in Mahomet.
Besides scoring a team-high 11 points, Yeakel secured a steal in the waning seconds to clinch the victory.
On Monday (April 5), the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to four games with a 32-4 conquest at home over Danville North Ridge.
Kalista Granadino, Lily Bosworth and Yeakel each tallied eight points.
M-S (5-1) returns to action on Saturday (April 10) at home against Monticello.
