Senior Ainsley Winters won medalist honors in the Apollo Conference girls’ golf tournament on Monday (Sept. 19) at Charleston by five strokes.
Winters carded a 77 for 18 holes.
Other Bulldog scores were: Kayla McKinney (87), who tied for fourth place and also earned all-conference accolades, Emma Dallas (101), Elena Tompkins (101) and Maddy Clark (111). McKinney is a senior.
There was a total of 38 competitors.
In the team chase, Mattoon edged the Bulldogs, 365-366, by one stroke for the championship.
M-S (9-1) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 27) at Mount Zion.
