Ainsley Winters finished as the runner-up on Tuesday (Sept. 13) in a girls’ golf dual meet at Mattoon’s Meadowbrook Country Club.
Winters fired a 44.
Teammate Emma Dallas shot a 48 and tied for fourth place individually.
Other Bulldog scores were: Maddy Clark (52), Brooke Hartman (54), Chloe Merkle (55) and Elena Tompkins (57).
The loss to Mattoon (185 to 198) was the first for M-S (9-1) in dual or triangular meets.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday (Sept. 15) at the Livingston County Invitational.
