Washington defeats Mahomet-Seymour boys’ basketball

Mahomet-Seymour’s boys’ basketball team hit nine three-point shots on Tuesday (Jan. 16), but fell short at home, 63-57, against Washington.
Landyn Hannah was the team’s top point-maker. He drained six three-point shots en route to a varsity career-high 22 points.
Lucas Dyer achieved a season’s high with 17 points while Cade Starrick totaled 11 points. Dyer nailed two three-pointers and Starrick – who was 4-for-4 from the free throw line – hit one three-pointer.
Also reaching the scoring column for the Bulldogs were Finn Randolph (four points) and Jackson Bohm (three points).
Dyer and Randolph both cleared four rebounds.
Washington led, 20-14, after one quarter and 28-24 at halftime.
M-S (8-10) returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 20) at home against Chatham Glenwood.
