Warren registers hat trick in shutout win over Mattoon

Isaac Warren’s first hat trick of the season, on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Mattoon, sparked the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ team to a 5-0 shutout at Mattoon.
Warren also had an assist.
Nolan Wheeler and Travis Hoffman made the other M-S goals. Kai Jones assisted on three scores. Kaden Jackson added one assist.
The shutout was the fifth of the season for the Bulldogs and the third in three Apollo Conference contests.
Hayden Litteken finished with two saves.
On Wednesday (Sept. 13), the Bulldogs recovered from a 1-0 deficit to salvage a 1-1 deadlock with visiting Mount Zion in an Apollo Conference match.
Wheeler scored the equalizer, with an assist from Jones, near the end of the first half.
M-S (5-1-4 overall) returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 16) at home at Middletown Field against Bloomington.
In the junior varsity match at Mattoon, the Bulldogs recovered from a 3-0 deficit to salvage a 3-3 tie against the Green Wave.
