Village Clean-Up and Recycling Event
Area Garbage Service is offering a free Clean up Day and Electronic Recycling for Village residents only.
Village residents can dispose of unwanted junk or non-hazardous garbage, including: bikes, metal exercise equipment, kitchen appliances and window air conditioners, computers, stereos, printers and cell phones.
The following items will not be accepted: tires of any kind, television or computer monitors, car parts or components, liquids including paints, stains, oil, fertilizers, pesticides, weed killer, fuels, thinners, lead-acid batteries, fluorescent light tubes of any kids, burned material or ashes, concrete, bricks, dirt or rocks.
Drop-off time will be from 8 a.m. to 1 pm. or until the containers are full. This opportunity is only open to village residents.

Just found out if you are a citizen of Mahomet, but not apart of the ‘village’ you are out of luck. I would have thought living two minutes north of the facility would ha e made me a part of this. So what is a tax paying citizen such as myself suppose to do?
