Medalist Ainsley Winters and two teammates who secured top-five finishes were the catalysts on Tuesday (Aug. 31) as the unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour girls’ golf team topped Monticello and Rantoul/PBL at the Monticello Golf Course.
Winters fired a 47. Teammate Kayla McKinney (50) finished fourth and another Bulldog, Maddy Clark (51), was fifth.
The team’s other scores were Emma Dallas (54), Gaby Davis (56) and Jama Craig (63).
The Bulldogs’ team composite was 202. Runner-up Monticello had 239 and Rantoul/PBL finished at 245.
M-S is 6-0 in dual and triangular meets. The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday (Sept. 14) against Mattoon at Lake of the Woods.
