University of Illinois students are interested in interviewing veterans to produce documentaries to share with the veteran and their family.
After the initial interview, a student will work on making a full-length documentary for the veteran about their life and service.
“This is a great way for us to personally honor the veterans and learn about history from a firsthand perspective,” Caitlyn Schneeman said.
The group is looking for veterans from any time period, whether or not they served during a war.
The interview will take place on campus at University of Illinois.
The raw interview will also be submitted to the Library of Congress for their Veteran History Project for future generations to look back on.
