Tri-Valley tops M-S Softball
By Fred Kroner
Visiting Tri-Valley scored two runs in the top of the seventh to squeak past Mahomet-Seymour, 6-5, in a non-conference softball game on Thursday (April 22).
The Bulldogs had taken a 5-4 lead with a four-run sixth inning.
Aubrie Shore, who has eight hits in her last nine at-bats, pounded a triple and home run for M-S. Shore drove in three runs.
Shore pitched the first five innings. Karley Yergler worked the last two innings and was saddled with the loss even though she has not allowed an earned run in her first 13 innings pitched this season.
M-S (3-1) returns to action on Monday (April 26) at Pontiac.
