The Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC) invites the community to step back in time and “Party like it’s 1994” at their Annual Auction on March 2nd, 2024. This event, scheduled at the new location of the Holiday Inn at 101 Trade Center Drive, Champaign, IL, is more than just a night of nostalgia and fun – it’s a critical fundraiser for the club’s impactful youth programs.

Doors open at 5:30 pm for an evening that promises a blend of entertainment, nostalgia, and community spirit. The highlight of the night is the in-person live auction, where attendees can bid on a variety of items. Tickets for the event are priced at $80 per individual, which includes dinner and drinks (soda, wine, beer). For those looking to attend in groups, there are specially priced packages available: a table for 8 at $540, offering a $100 discount, and a table for 10 at $650, with a $150 discount.
Supporting Youth Programs
The proceeds from this event are vital in supporting MAYC’s various initiatives. These include out-of-school and after-school programs. Particularly noteworthy is the free afterschool program for junior high students, providing a safe and supervised environment with adult mentors. This program offers homework help and activities that support social and emotional development.
MAYC is also committed to inclusivity and accessibility. The club provides financial scholarships for qualifying families for the elementary afterschool programs offered through the district – Kids Club & BLAST. Additionally, all-day camps during winter, spring, and summer breaks are available for children of all ages.
