Three M-S Athletes Medal in Indoor Track Meet, Dillman and Hoffman Score in 400m

Three Mahomet-Seymour athletes earned state medals on Saturday (March 23) in the Illinois Prep Top Times unofficial Class 2A indoor state track and field meet at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center.
Two of the placers earned their medals in the same event.
Blake Dillman was third in the 400 meters, with a personal-best 51.57 seconds. Teammate Travis Hoffman was eighth in the event (52.95).
The third M-S medalist was pole vaulter Ty Clark, who cleared 13 feet, 9 inches to secure the sixth-place medal.
Jayvon Irwin was the Bulldogs’ other participant.
He ran 11th in the 200 meters (23.45 seconds) and 20th in the 60-meter dash (7.27 seconds).
A total of 133 schools had state-meet participants in Class 2A.
The Bulldogs return to action on Monday (April 8) in the Mount Zion Invitational.
