Mahomet-Seymour’s eighth-grade volleyball team fell one win short of qualifying for the Class 4A IESA state tournament, which M-S will host starting on Friday (March 18).
After winning the regional on Wednesday (March 9), 25-14, 25-16 at home over Urbana, the Bulldogs were topped on Monday (March 14) in the sectional finals by Taylorville, 25-18, 25-19.
M-S ends the season with a 17-6 overall record. Taylorville has a 26-1 season record entering the state quarterfinals.
