Eighth-grader Sophie Park placed second on Wednesday (Sept. 7) in the IESA sectional girls’ golf tournament at Wolf Creek, in Pontiac.
Park carded a 90 to capture runner-up honors in a tournament that had participants from 25 schools.
M-S seventh-grader Makenna Peterka finished in a tie for 11th after firing a 105.
Both players will compete at state on Thursday (Sept. 15).
Eighth-grader Gracyn Shotkoski tied for 27th with a 135 and teammate Katie Hunter, a seventh-grader, tied for 31st with a 136.
The Bulldogs’ other sectional participant was eighth-grader Clara Ummel.
