The Mahomet-Seymour soccer team was able to get a decisive 8-0 win over Taylorville on senior night Thursday.
The win moved the Bulldogs to 15-4-3. The emotional night began with the seniors being announced and remembering their fallen teammate, Jacob Hamilton, who passed in a car accident in May. Respectfully, both teams left the goal empty for the first two minutes of the game. Jacob would have started for the Dogs in goal in what would have been his senior year. The

On senior night, the team fielded an all-senior lineup, including manager Ryan Kiss.
As a Freshmen, Ryan had a heart valve replaced. While cleared to return to the field, he has not had the stamina to play soccer since. During that time, he has stayed committed to his friends and teammates. He has volunteered his time as manager in this, his senior year. Ryan was able to split the defense and beat the Taylorville defenders to goal, and was able to give the Bulldogs an early lead. He was never able to stay in for long periods of time, yet he made the most of it.
