The Village of Mahomet Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with YoYo’s Frozen Yogurt will host Skate on Main on January 12 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm and January 13 from 12 to 9 p.m. in downtown Mahomet.
Combining family fun, snowy activities, hot chocolate and lots of winter magic, this is an event to warm the hearts of those who love this time of year and also to win over those that may not exactly be fans of winter.
“Unique event opportunities such as Skate on Main are made possible with successful public-private
partnerships. We are excited to work with Yoyo’s to introduce, what we anticipate to be,
another successful event located in downtown Mahomet” Village President, Sean Widener said.
For a nominal fee, guests will enjoy a full-service ice rink, inviting people of all ages to skate on
Main. Ice skates will also be available to rent.
MPRD said more information will become available as the event nears.
“Community, is what it’s all about. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this fun weekend,” Yoyo’s owners, Matt and Alice Pommier said.
