Seniors shine in match against Monticello and Toledo Cumberland

All eight M-S senior wrestlers had at least one match on Senior Night on Thursday (May 13) as the undefeated Bulldogs swamped Monticello 76-0 and topped Toledo Cumberland 64-15.
Collectively, the seniors were 11-2.
Two seniors posted pins in both of their bouts: Peyton Myers (160 pounds) and Daniel Renshaw (220 pounds).
Three other seniors were 2-0 for the night: Gage Granadino (170 pounds), Logan Hillard (138 pounds) and Payton Ragona (126 pounds). Granadino and Ragona each posted one pin.
At 182 pounds, Hayden Nelson registered a pin in his only bout.
At 152 pounds, Caleb Dowers was involved with the highest scoring match of the evening, but fell short, 19-15, to his opponent from Cumberland.
The other Bulldog senior, Jacob Schlenker, was pinned in his junior varsity bout at 138 pounds.
Two non-seniors, collected two varsity pins: Caden Hatton (106 pounds) and Mateo Casillas (195 pounds).
Against Cumberland, the quickest M-S pins were by Myers (25 seconds) and Casillas (55 seconds).
Against Monticello, the fastest falls for the Bulldogs were by 145-pound Logan Petro (56 seconds) and Casillas (1 minute, 12 seconds).
Other Bulldogs who were 2-0 for the night were Lukas Alstetter (113 pounds), Petro and Tallen Pawlak (132 pounds).
M-S (7-0) will return to action on Tuesday (May 18) at Westville in a meet that will also include Robinson.
