Arm-in-arm, fathers and their daughters will walk into a night designed just for them at the second annual Mahomet Parks and Recreation Department Daddy/Daughter Dance on February 10.
The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and be held at the Lake of the Woods Pavillion.
Event Coordinator Denise Reynolds said, “We saw the need and decided a Daddy Daughter Dance was a perfect event for this community. Mahomet is a very family-friendly town and we want our events to reflect that.”
A $19 per person registration fee, will include princess-themed activities and dance music by Elite Entertainment.
Professional Photography by VSI will available for an additional fee.
“These dances are memories that we have cherished in our lives and know that it will be the same for the girls and their dads,” Reynolds said. “We hope to promote the importance of strong, healthy relationships between fathers/daughters by hosting this event that allows quality time and memories.”
The registration deadline for this event is January 30. Registration forms can be dropped off at the Mahomet Parks and Recreation office located at 218 S. Lake of the Woods Rd. or at the Village Administration Building at 503 E. Main. Online registration is available at www.mahometrecreation.com.
