Schoudel Wins Medalist Honors as Mahomet-Seymour Boys’ Golf Edges Rantoul/PBL in Three-School Meet

Mahomet-Seymour’s Jacob Schoudel fired a one-over-par 37 and won medalist honors by one stroke on Thursday (Sept. 19) in a three-school boys’ golf meet at Willow Pond.

Teammates Kolton Hennesy and Carter Henrikson each carded 40s and tied for third place individually.

Other Bulldog scores were: Cole Thrasher (41), Jackson Bohm (43) and Landyn Hannah (46).

M-S posted a cumulative score of 158 and edged Rantoul/PBL (160). St. Thomas More (181) took third.

In the junior varsity portion of the meet, the Bulldogs compiled a team score of 150 and placed second.

Zach Blumenshine (34) was the individual runner-up.

Other JV scores for M-S were Ethan Peterka (38), Aden Bergman (39), Miles Rasche (39), Nick Shelton (41) and Jack Meyer (44).

The Bulldogs return to action on Monday (Sept. 23) at the Apollo Conference meet at Taylorville.
