Schoudel Leads Mahomet-Seymour Boys’ Golf to Narrow Victory Over Monticello, Extending Winning Streak

For the second time in three meets, Jacob Schoudel posted the best score for the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team as the Bulldogs continued their winning streak.

Schoudel carded a 38 on Tuesday (Sept.3) at Lake of the Woods as M-S edged Monticello, 156-157.

Overall, Schoudel finished third overall.

Other team leaders for the Bulldogs were Carter Henrikson (39), Cole Thrasher (39), Kelton Hennesy (40), Reis Claybrooke (41) and Jackson Bohm (42).

In the junior varsity portion of the meet, the M-S leaders were medalist Todd Laughton (42), followed by Camden Wood (44), Landyn Hannah (46), Brocton Parker (46) and Max Grammer (48).

Monticello didn’t have enough JV players to be scored as a team.

M-S (5-0) returns to action on Friday (Sept. 6) at the Danville Invitational.
