YouTube stars Random Encounters to be at Mahomet Public Library Friday

Kid-friendly YouTube stars Random Encounters will be at the Mahomet Public Library on August 30 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Since 2010, AJ Pinkerton and Peter Srinivasanhave have posted YouTube video game music videos and gained popularity through songs like: FNAF the Musical, Resident Enis, Sanpai Notice Me (Yandere) and their Pokemon songs.

Their Sonic the Hedgehog musical parody won the grand prize in an international video competition hosted by Sega.

Not only will Random Encounters fans have a chance to meet Pinkerton and Srinivasanhave on Friday, but they will also get a glimpse into what it takes to create a YouTube channel with 2.6 million subscribers and the process from playing a video game to writing and filming a musical based on that game.
