Raegan and Talynn O’Donnell Lead Mahomet-Seymour to Victory in Tri-School Swim Meet at Peoria

Raegan O’Donnell and Talynn O’Donnell each won two individual events on Tuesday (Oct. 15) as the Mahomet-Seymour swimming and diving team won a three-school meet at Peoria.
The Bulldogs amassed 80 points to beat Peoria Notre Dame (50 points) and Pekin (40 points).
Raegan O’Donnell was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle race (1:58.41) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.54).
Talynn O’Donnell took first in both the 200-yard individual medley (2:17.69) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.53).
Caroline Mills won the 100-yard freestyle (57.39 seconds) and teammate Callie Lu was triumphant in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.19).
The Bulldogs also came out on top in two relays.
Teaming up in the 200-yard medley were Talynn O’Donnell, Lu, Lainey Howard and Mills (2:01.13).
Also winning top honors was the 400-yard freestyle relay foursome of Talynn O’Donnell, Howard, Karsyn Johnson and Raegan O’Donnell (3:53.40).
Howard secured runner-up finishes in two events: 50-yard freestyle (27.07 seconds) and 500-yard freestyle (5:44.36).
Johnson ended second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.84).
