Photography enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to step into nature and refine their craft during Photos in a Forest: A Photography Workshop, hosted by the Museum of the Grand Prairie at Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve on Sunday, August 24, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
The 90-minute workshop will be led by local photographer Fred Delcomyn, whose award-winning images have been featured in competitions and exhibitions across the region. Delcomyn will share practical tips and creative insights designed to help participants capture the beauty of nature, whether using professional camera equipment or a smartphone.
Set against the backdrop of Lake of the Woods’ scenic landscapes, including the museum’s botanical garden and the sweeping Buffalo Trace Prairie, the workshop will offer participants a guided opportunity to practice techniques while surrounded by late-summer blooms and native grasses.
The event is open to all ages, though space is limited. Advance registration is required by August 18 at ccfpd.org, and the cost is $5 per person.
