Peters and Randolph lead Bulldogs over Bloominton

Trey Peters and Finn Randolph each scored 14 points on Tuesday (Jan. 24) as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 62-59 win at home over Bloomington.
Dayten Eisenmann added 11 points to the balanced Bulldog scoring attack, which also received eight points from Carter Selk and seven from Adam Dyer.
M-S wound up with assists on 22 of its 24 field goals
Dyer and Selk each handed out six assists. Randolph had five assists.
Peters grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Randolph hauled down six rebounds and Jake Waldinger handled four rebounds.
The Bulldogs hit 10 of 12 rebounds, with Peters meshing 4 of 4.
M-S trailed, 30-29, at halftime, but had shot into a 47-43 lead entering the fourth stanza.
M-S (8-11) returns to action on Friday (Jan. 27) at Mount Zion (21-2). The Braves are working on a seven-game winning streak and have won every game played in 2023.
Mount Zion is the Apollo Conference leader with a 7-0 league mark. M-S is 3-4 in league play.
