A first-half goal by Titus Payne was all that the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team needed on Tuesday (Sept. 14) to earn a 1-0 win at Mattoon when the second half was canceled by lightning.
The win was the third in a row in Apollo Conference action for the Bulldogs and each win has been by shutout.
Payne’s goal was assisted by Clayton Gibson and Anthony Ramirez.
M-S (7-2 overall) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 16) at Middletown Field against Bloomington.
