Officer Jeremy Scharlow resting at home, search continues for Pendleton
Mahomet police officer Jeremy Scharlow has been identified as the officer who was shot in the 600 block of Vine Street Saturday night. He was released from Carle Hospital at 6 a.m. and is home resting.
Several jurisdictions are still engaged in a manhunt for the man who shot Scharlow, Dracy “Clint” Pendleton of Belleflower. Pendleton is believed to be injured, armed and in possession of a stolen two-door, GMC 2500 with the number 30070 is painted on the doors. The license plate is unknown.
Scharlow has been an officer with the Mahomet Police Department for nine years.
