Mahomet-Seymour sophomore Talynn O’Donnell placed 33rd and 34th in the IHSA girls’ swimming state meet in her two individual events.
O’Donnell swam the 50-yard freestyle in 24.68 seconds, and took 33rd in the sprint race.
In the 100-yard butterfly, she was 34th in 59.78 seconds. She is a two-year state-qualifier.
A first-time state-meet entry for the Bulldogs, freshman Caroline Mills, took 40th in the 500-yard freestyle event. Her time was 5:35.79.
The state finals were held in Westmont at the FMC Natatorium on Friday (Nov. 10) and Saturday (Nov. 11).
