MSSC ’08 boys off to strong start

The start of the fall league season for the MSSC 08 boys is shaping up the be their best yet.

In their first four games they have a record of 3-1. In the first two games played September 8, emotions were high as they were celebrating the life of Mackenzie Byrd. The first game a hand full of boys scored to post a 5-0 shut out against SASA Red. The second game was a tough match against Fire White East and MSSC lost 1-3.

They then had games on September 15th at Dodd’s Park. Both games were close matches. The first game against Streator, both Xander Shanks and Isaiah Brotherton were able to connect to the back of the net for a 2-1 victory. The final game of the day the lone goal of the game against Fire White West was scored by Corbin Phillips, good enough for the win.
