The Mahomet-Seymour Junior High wrestling team has a 15-1 dual-meet season record with 13 wins in a row.
In a 13-day stretch between Thursday (Jan. 25) and Tuesday (Feb. 6), the Bulldogs won 11 dual meets. Eight of them were away from home.
On the 25th, M-S defeated Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (66-41) and Prairie Central (75-27) in Gibson City. On Saturday (Jan 27), M-S handled St. Agnes (93-6), Porta (60-54), Beardstown (81-30), Pittsfield (96-21) and Tremont (63-42) at Petersburg.
On Tuesday (Jan. 30), the Bulldogs toppled GCMS (61-41) and Monticello (89-12) at home. On Thursday (Feb. 1), M-S beat Parkside (80-22) in Normal and on Tuesday (Feb. 6), the team defeated Normal Chiddix at home (91-15).
M-S will return to action on Tuesday (Feb. 20) at home against Tolono Unity in the final tuneup before the IESA regionals begin on Saturday (Feb. 24).
