MSJHS finishes up the regular season

The Bulldogs had four individuals and two relays capture victories on Monday (May 3) in a three-school boys’ track and field meet at Tolono Unity that also included Mount Zion.
Ian Dobrucki was the hurdles winner, with a time of 17.52 seconds. Ethan Ramirez was first in the 1,600 meters (5:23). Blake Dillman captured the 800 meters (2:18) and Dylan Smith was triumphant in the 200 meters (26.87).
The 800-meter relay foursome posted a winning time of 1:48. The M-S runners were Smith, Ty Clark, Dobrucki and Kaden Jackson.
Also victorious was the 1,600-meter relay unit of Quinten Goodie Jr., Smith, Jackson and Dobrucki. Their composite time was 4:14.
M-S hosted its final home meet on Monday (May 10), competing against Monticello and St. Joseph.
Three Bulldog seventh-graders won individual events: Jack Meyer (long jump, 13-4 ½ ); Ethan Peterka (1,600 meters, 5:28.6); and Parker Wilkins (200 meters, 28.49).
Additionally, the 800-meter relay unit of Landen Dowers, Noah Frank, Parker Wilkins and Wade Manuel placed first with a time of 1:57.
Three M-S eighth-graders secured first-place finishes: Ty Clark (pole vault, 10-10); Ian Dobrucki (hurdles, 18.2) and Ethan Ramirez (1,600 meters, 5:11).
M-S will conclude its season on Saturday (May 15) in the Mount Zion Sectional.
