MSJHS Cross Country powers through heat and cowchips

Fresh cowchips greeted the MSJH XC bulldogs as they stepped off of the bus Friday night for the two-mile race.  With the temperatures heating up on Friday, coaches knew that the hilly course would pose some challenges for runners.  However, these challenges proved to provide the with the opportunity to achieve greater success.

6th grade girls, 2 mile race- 65 runners:
2nd- Avah Turner (14:16)
6th- Ava Jansen
7th- Reese Gallier
12th- Emmaline Culp
15th- Phoebe Truax

6th grade boys, 2 mile race- 88 runners:
2nd- Ty Clark (12:47)
5th- Camden Heinold

7th grade girls, 2 mile race- 77 runners
4th- Avah Boyd (13:28)

7th grade boys, 2 mile race- 86 runners
4th- Finn Randolph (12:43)
10th- Kai Jones
13th- Isaac Warren

8th grade girls, 2 mile race- 66 runners
4th place- Ella Scott (13:34)
7th-Abby Bunting
11th- Callie Jansen
13th- Durbin Thomas

8th grade boys, 2 mile race- 78 runners
3rd- Gabe Difanis (11:58)
8th- Gage Williams

Girls Open Race- approximately 125 runners- no places actually kept- runners under 16:00
