The Mahomet-Seymour WYSE Team (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) took first place at the Eastern Illinois University Sectional competition with a perfect score of 500 points Thursday night.
Students who placed in the competition include:
Ben Dahl – 1st in Chem, 1st in English
Nick Morrow – 1st in Math, 1st in Physics
Mrinali Kesavadas – 1st in Biology
Jessica Berkman – 2nd in Bio, 2nd in Physics
Marina Moore – 2nd in English
Sanket Patel – 3rd in Physics
Kerry Lippold – 3rd in Physics
Tony Cosimini – 3rd in English
Cassidy Waldrep – 3rd in Chemistry
Michal Strzebonski – 3rd in Math
The WYSE team will continue in the State Competition on April 16 at the University of Illinois.
