Six of Mahomet-Seymour’s eight baskets on Tuesday (Jan. 17) were from three-point range and the Bulldogs suffered a 47-23 loss in a girls’ basketball game at home to Morton.
Savannah Orgeron connected on three three-pointers and led the Bulldogs with nine points. Kylie Waldinger had one three-pointer and finished with seven points and a team-high five rebounds.
M-S netted just two first-half field goals and both were three-pointers. The Bulldogs trailed at intermission, 22-7.
Orgeron blocked two shots. Abby Bunting and Ellie Dallas each collected two steals.
Dallas and Durbin Thomas each hit one three-point shot.
M-S (17-6) returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 21) at Chatham Glenwood.
