McCoy, Ross, Lagacy, Minick and Heaton pick up wins in LeRoy

Sophomore Kiera McCoy won two events on Friday (Oct. 9), leading Mahomet-Seymour to an 89-43 dual-meet victory over St. Thomas More in a girls’ swimming meet at the LeRoy Replex.
McCoy was triumphant in the 200-yard individual medley as well as the 100-yard butterfly. She also picked up points for a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
Four teammates also won an individual event.
Olivia Ross was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle, Anna Lagacy won the 100-yard breaststroke, Marin Minick was first in the 100-yard freestyle and Natalie Heaton took top honors in the 200-yard freestyle.
They were also placers in other events.
Ross was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke and third in the 50-yard freestyle. Lagacy took second in the 200-yard IM. Heaton was third in the 100-yard backstroke. Minick finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle.
Other Bulldogs with high finishes were Kaitlyn Stewart (second in the 100-yard butterfly and third in the 200-yard freestyle) and Liz Hall (third in the 100-yard freestyle).
