Math Team captures 8th consecutive Regional Title
Mahomet-Seymour High School took first place with a score of 746 in the Math Regional at Parkland College on Saturday.
This is the Math team’s eighth consecutive Regional win.
Paxton-Buckley-Loda too second with 428 and Unity took third with 306.
Sanket Patel and Ben Dahl took first in Pre-Calculus, Nick Marrow took first in Algebra 2, Seth Honnigford took first in Geometry and Matthew Sims and Mike Taylor took first in Algebra I. Nolan Pletcher & Anna Taylor placed first in oral presentation.
Jessica Berkman placed second in Pre-Calc.
Michal Strzebonski, Cassidy Waldrep and Saloni Patel placed third in Algebra 2 and Colton Brunner and Sam Knight placed third in Geometry.
Nolan Pletcher received Honorable Mention in Pre-Calculus while Andrea Penrose, Tim Glumac and Lizzie Stremming received Honorable Mention in Geometry.
The Bulldogs will compete in State Finals on May 5 at the University of Illinois.
