Mahomet’s Village Christmas to take place this weekend

Dec. 2

Christmas will kick-off in downtown Mahomet on Dec. 2. Village Christmas will include the arrival of Santa, performances from the Mahomet-Seymour Madrigals and a bounce house.

Santa Arrives
6pm-Downtown Mahomet

Horse drawn carriage rides & trolley rides
Rides will be available at a first come, first serve basis from 5:00pm-8:00pm

Santa meet & greet
6:00pm-8:30pm-Freedom Plaza (green space between Sangamon on Main & Administration building)

Madrigal Performances
Mahomet-Seymour High School Madrigals will perform at various times and locations on Main St. during the evening

Food Trucks
Smith Burger, Flour & Fire Pizza, and Zeke’s Eats

Frozen Bounce House
*NEW* this year is a two-part Frozen bounce house & slide!

Dec. 3

Make-and-Take Ornaments at Mahomet Public Library, 9:30 AM TO 1:00 PM

The annual make-and-take ornament event will feature 5 different ornaments

To Grandmother’s House We Go…at the Museum of the Grand Prairie, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Visitors can make and take home classic presents and decorations for their families and friends, including popcorn garlands, pomanders, and more! We will also feature period-authentic carolers performing songs from the nineteenth century! Be sure to venture outdoors as well to check out “Night Lights” as the beautiful Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden shines bright with thousands of lights! Dec. 4

Live Nativity
5-7 p.m.

Lutheran Church of Mahomet will hold their Live Nativity the first Sunday of December, 4th
from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  

Along with the live nativity will be fellowship activities including: Supper and holiday dishes n the Fellowship Hall, live music and caroling inside.  Don’t miss the show, and dress warm to join in the cast of characters.
