The Bulldogs will host a Class 2A regional tournament on Saturday. First-round matches will start at 9 a.m.
The team favorite is Bloomington, which is ranked ninth in this week’s state poll by The Illinois Best Weekly. M-S is ranked 22nd. Also in the eight-school field is 19th-ranked Normal West.
The Bulldogs will enter wrestlers with winning records in 13 of the 14 weight classes.

113 pounds – Payton Ragona
120 pounds – Adam Pillischafske
126 pounds – Noah Schnepper
132 pounds – Braeden Heinold
138 pounds – Logan Petro
145 pounds – Chance Decker
152 pounds – Gage Granadino
160 pounds – Brenan Houser
170 pounds – Peyton Myers
182 pounds – Colton Crowley
195 pounds – Mateo Casillas
220 pounds – Daniel Renshaw
285 pounds – Seth Buchanan
Buchanan, Granadino, Casillas and Decker all have at least 30 wins for the season. Five other squad members are over the 20-win mark.
Casillas has a team-high 54 takedowns.
The Bulldogs’ regional lineup will feature four freshmen, two sophomores, five juniors and three seniors.
The top three individuals at each weight class will qualify for sectionals. The team champion will also move on in the team-dual series.
