Mahomet-Seymour Volleyball Secures Apollo Conference Title with Dominant Win Over Charleston

Mahomet-Seymour’s volleyball team clinched the Apollo Conference championship at home on Tuesday (Oct. 22) with a 25-9, 25-16 triumph at home over Charleston.
The Bulldogs finish 9-1 in league matches. Runner-up Taylorville had an 8-2 record in Apollo Conference action.
Ellie Barker provided a spark in the Apollo Conference finale with six service aces, five kills and five digs. Erin Dallas handed out nine assists.
On Wednesday (Oct. 23), the Bulldogs turned back Urbana, 25-13, 25-14 at home on Senior Night.
Senior Kennedy Kimball totaled three kills and two digs. Sophomore Hannah Martin contributed four kills and one block.
Other Bulldog seniors, besides Kimball, are Ellie Barker, Ellie Dallas, Adaline Eisenmann, and Annika McNaught.
M-S (27-3) returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 26) in the M-S Invitational.
The Bulldogs’ junior varsity handed Charleston a 25-14, 25-14 setback and the M-S freshmen were victorious, 21-14, 21-10.
Against Urbana, the M-S JV squad racked up a 25-16, 25-17 win. The Bulldog freshmen were triumphant, 25-8, 25-8.
