Both of Mahomet-Seymour’s junior high volleyball teams opened the season by winning two of their first three matches.
The eighth-graders opened with back-to-back wins at home, 25-11, 25-13 over Danville North Ridge on Thursday (Jan. 4) and 25-16, 25-21 over Mount Zion on Monday (Jan. 8) before losing at Normal Kingsley on Tuesday (Jan. 9), 25-18, 25-21.
The seventh-graders swept Danville North Ridge (25-12, 25-14) and Mount Zion (25-20, 25-20) before falling to Normal Kingsley.
M-S returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 20) in the annual Bulldog Invitational.
