Mahomet-Seymour volleyball defeats Danville in two sets

Lily Bosworth landed six kills and Ellie Barker added five kills on Thursday (Aug. 24) as Mahomet-Seymour overpowered Danville 25-17, 25-16 in the first varsity volleyball match played at Middletown Prairieview Elementary School.

The match was moved from the Bulldogs’ high school gym because of lack of air-conditioning.

Ellie Dallas distributed eight assists. Addi Eisenmann posted four digs, three kills, two service aces and one block. Barker also served an ace and Bosworth recorded a block.

M-S (2-0) returns to action on Tuesday (Aug. 29) at St. Joseph-Ogden.

The Bulldogs won both of the preliminary matches. The  JV team was victorious, 25-10, 25-4 and the freshmen prevailed, 25-11, 25-13.
