Mahomet-Seymour triumphs over Normal West

After losing three straight games to start the boys’ basketball season, Mahomet-Seymour has produced wins in six of their last eight games.
The latest win came at home on Tuesday (Dec. 19), a 64-55 triumph over Normal West.
Jackson Bohm led M-S with a game-high 21 points. He notched eight points in both the first and fourth quarters.
The Bulldogs ran into a 26-11 lead after one quarter, but only held a 38-37 lead at halftime.
M-S stayed in control by hitting 14 of 18 shots from the free throw line.
Cade Starrick knocked down two three-point shots and scored 10 points. Lucas Dyer had nine points and Miles Woolsey ended with eight points.
Other point-scorers for the Bulldogs were Landyn Hannah (five points), Finn Randolph (five points), Braden Pagel (three points) and Henry Wagner (three points).
Randolph cleared a team-high three rebounds. Dyer finished with two assists and two blocked shots. Hannah secured four steals.
M-S (6-5) returns to action on Wednesday (Dec. 27) in the State Farm Classic, which will be contested at various Bloomington-Normal locations. The Bulldogs open against fourth-seeded Romeoville at 8 p.m. on the 27th at the Shirk Center at Illinois Wesleyan University.
