Mahomet-Seymour to use Educational Leadership Solutions in Superintendent Search
The Mahomet-Seymour School Board voted in favor of seeing a contract from Educational Leadership Solutions (ELS) as they move forward with finding a Superintendent to replace Lindsey Hall in the summer of 2022.
The educational search firm was used by Effingham Unit 40 as they sought a replacement for their Superintendent. Board members Colleen Schultz, Jeremy Henrich and Max McComb began the process of looking for a firm earlier this month after Hall announced her resignation/retirement.
Previously, the Mahomet-Seymour School board used the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) as the search firm to hire Hall, along with Assistant Superintendent (the Director of Curriculum) Nicole Rummel and former Middletown Prairie Prairie/Sangamon Elementary Principal Wendy Starwalt.
McComb said that he liked the experience of IASB’s Tom Leahy alongside the organization’s longevity while Hendricks and Schultz like that ELS promised to work with the board and community to find priorities and discover superintendent candidates that aligned with those values.
The board of education will revisit the topic at the Jan. 10 board meeting.
