Mahomet-Seymour tennis defeats St. Joseph-Ogden

The undefeated Mahomet-Seymour girls’ tennis team made St. Joseph-Ogden its fourth consecutive dual-meet victim on Tuesday (Sept. 12), 9-0, at Middletown Courts.
All the Bulldogs’ wins were in straight sets.
In singles, Holland Martin (No. 3), Emily Young (No. 4) and Emmie Flores (No. 6) all maintained their unbeaten season records. Other teammates who won were Savannah Amatyleon (No. 1), Adella Bird (No. 2) and Claire Johnson (No. 5).
Martin lost just one game in her victory.
In doubles, the No. 1 unit featured Amatyleon and Haley Reed. They won, 6-2, 6-0. At No. 2, Martin and Bird improved to 4-0 for the season with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph. Also victorious was the No. 3 duo of Young and Ashley Shoaf, 6-1, 6-1.
M-S returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 14) at Bloomington Cornerstone.
