Mahomet-Seymour tennis defeats Danville Schlarman

Mahomet-Seymour earned victories in two of the three doubles matches on Thursday (Sept. 2) and captured a 5-4 dual-meet victory at Danville Schlarman Academy in a girls’ tennis match.
At No. 3 doubles, the duo of Jadyn Hannah and Megan Barnhart improved to 3-0 with their third straight-set sweep.
At No. 2 doubles, Bulldogs Averly Sanborn and Lillie Hillard were dominant in a 6-1, 6-2 victory. They are 2-0 for the season.
In singles, M-S posted wins in the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 matches.
At No. 4, Sophia Slupski was triumphant 7-6 (4), 6-0. At No. 5, Gianna Hill registered a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Both Slupski and Hill have 3-1 season records.
At No. 6, Savannah Amatyleon collected a 6-0, 6-1 win.
Sanborn was a hard-luck loser at No. 2 singles, falling 5-7, 6-4, 12-10.
M-S (3-1) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 9) at Kankakee Bishop McNamara.
