Mahomet-Seymour tennis defeats Centennial

In its second home meet at the Middletown Courts, the unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour girls’ tennis team triumphed over Centennial, 9-0.
M-S athletes won all six singles matches as well as the three in doubles in straight sets.
The Bulldogs’ singles winners were Savannah Amatyleon (6-4, 6-1 at No. 1), Adella Bird (6-0, 6-0 at No. 2), Holland Martin (6-0, 6-1 at No. 3), Emily Young (6-1, 6-4 at No. 4), Claire Johnson (6-0, 6-2 at No 5) and Emmie Flores (7-6 (5), 6-0 at No. 6).
In doubles, Amatyleon and Young were victorious at No. 1 (6-1, 6-0). At No. 2, Martin and Bird captured a 6-1, 3-1 victory. At No. 3, Ashley Shoaf and Eliza Agate posted a 6-0, 6-1 win.
M-S (2-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 31) at home against Danville Schlarman Academy.
