Mahomet-Seymour Swimming comes out on top at Lincoln

The Bulldogs (5-2) dominated a three-school meet on Thursday at Lincoln.
M-S’ winning point total of 100 was more than the other two competing schools had combined, Lincoln (57) and Stanford Olympia (23).
The Bulldogs took first in all three relays and also had winning efforts in seven individual events.
Scoring two individual victories were Max Katz (diving and 100-yard backstroke) and Zach Orr (100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley).
Winning one event were Carter Logsdon (50-yard freestyle), Kent Saban (200-yard freestyle) and Evan Herriott (100-yard freestyle).
In the individual medley, the 100-yard freestyle and the backstroke, the M-S champions led a 1-2 finish for the school. Caden Raquel was the IM runner-up. David Andrawes was second in the backstroke. Saban was second in the 100-yard freestyle.
Logsdon was second in the 100-yard butterfly.
Capturing third-place finishes were Andrawes (50-yard freestyle), Raquel (100-yard butterfly), Ben Amjad (100-yard backstroke) and Aiden Yates (100-yard breaststroke).
The triumphant relays featured Katz, Orr, Raquel and Herriott on the 200-yard medley and Herriott, Raquel, Saban and Logsdon on the 200-yard freestyle relay with Katz, Herriott, Saban and Logsdon on the 400-yard freestyle relay team.
M-S returns to action on Wednesday at LaSalle-Peru in a meet that also includes Stanford Olympia.
