Mahomet-Seymour Speech team results from Glenwood

The Mahomet-Seymour High School Speech Team competed in their fourth tournament on Jan. 18 at Glenwood High School in Chatham IL.
Six Mahomet-Seymour students competed in 10 events at the tournament, against 18 other Illinois schools.
Three students received honors in their individual events: Savannah Smith (first place JV Impromptu Speaking), Averhy Sanborn (third place JV Oratorical Declamation and fourth place JV Prose reading), and Madison Ade (fifth place JV Impromptu Speaking and fifth place JV Original Comedy).
Tadeo Ruiz, Kylie Fuoss, and Zoe Hovde also competed in several events.
Students will compete again on February 1 at Heyworth High School in preparation for the IHSA State Series beginning February 8.
