Cayla Koerner scored four goals and M-S teammates Nyah Biegler and Lauren Schnepper each added two goals on Tuesday (May 18) as the Bulldogs won their 11th consecutive girls’ soccer match, 9-0 at Mount Zion.

M-S is 7-0 in Apollo Conference matches.

“Like the Koolaid Man, Mahomet continued their run through the drywall of the Apollo Conference,” M-S coach Jeremy Davis said. “The Bulldogs were able to jump out early once again, being up by two in the first 10 minutes.

“The ladies had another strong team-wide performance, with the defensive backs possessing the ball especially well. Lauren Schnepper had a standout night. She consistently was in-synch with Koerner and was able to clean up some ducks squatting inside the box, shooting them into the back of the net.”

M-S is 11-1 overall and returns to action on Thursday at home against Charleston with a chance to clinch at least a share of the conference crown.
